Our farm practices are as current as possible without using harmful sprays or killing our animals. We learned that our livestock have individual opinions, memories, and preferences. They have feelings and look at us with love and dependence. The reason we don't have cattle (yet) is that I won't agree to send them to slaughter when they get older. Some of our sheep are more than ten years old, and none of them are being bred. They are allproducing wool just fine! A friend sent me these quotes that express our philosophy. We buy old farm books and old farmequipment and try different methods to try to do the best for the ecology as possible.
"The animals of the world exist for their own
reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people
were made for whites, or women for men." -- Alice Walker
"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress
can be judged by the way its animals are treated." -- Gandhi
